Rafts

The following activity needs to take place on water.

Each participant will need a life-jacket.

The group is divided into suitable teams.

Each team is given:

• Four lengths of rope
• Four large drums (plastic or metal)
• Six lengths of bamboo

Teams then race to construct a raft and sail it, carrying all their team members, around a buoy and back to land.

Prizes can be given for the following:

• First team to complete everything.
• Best raft
• Worst raft
• Most interesting raft
• Most team spirit
